Regular cleaning
for area rugs
Regular vacuuming will help your rugs retain their beauty and extend their useful life. In light- to medium-traffic areas, vacuum twice weekly. In heavy-traffic areas, vacuum daily.
Shag rugs require special care when vacuuming to protect their long, cable-like yarns, which tend to wrap around beater-bars and get damaged by brushes. Disconnect the beater-bar (consult your vacuum owner’s manual) to avoid this damage. Set your vacuum to the lowest height setting for best suction.
Professional cleaning
and dealing with spills
We recommend occasional professional carpet cleaning using the hot water extraction method. Never dry clean your rugs or use bleach.
Food and beverage spills should be cleaned up immediately using immediately a clean cloth, then spot cleaned with a solution of clear dishwashing detergent and water. Rinse the area with clean water and blot completely dry. Do not rub or scrub!
